From the local car boot sale, an unused Mitutoyo 150mm digital caliper complete with a calibration certificate from a UKAS laboratory for 3 quid. Now been swiped by my daughter for use on her silversmithing degree.
Drilled 25 x 1.5mm holes with the first drill – and its still going strong! Another 19 drills to go. Secret is to drill at high speed (Dremel tool) and use water as a coolant.
