Hi all I brought a inverter pendant motor package I thought it would come with a fitting instruction sheet but all I have is the inverter manual got a couple of questions

I wired the motor to delta and connected 2 earths

The inverter end I connected one of the earth under the 3 phase wires does the second earth connect with the single phase earth at that GROUND terminal as there is 2 GROUND terminal also does the pendant earth get connected to that same earth many thanks

The first image shows the second motor earth the pendant earth and single phase earth in all at the same ground terminal unsure if this is correct sorry to be a pain

Power electronics side ground is the normal ground for electrical safety.

Shielded ground on the pendant side is for the screen on the cable between the control pendant and the VFD. Everything pendant side is low voltage so no safety issues. Shielded cable is advised to minimise any chance of picking up electrical interference.

Leaving it hanging is probably normal unless there are serious control electrical noise issues. In that case you'd need skilled folk with all the test gear to sort it out. Not something you'd need to worry about in any normal home shop installation with the inverter close to the machine and nice short cables.

Pendant arm itself would normally earth via the machine but Inspector Meticulous on a cranky day might consider an extra wire desirable. But realistically only necessary on old style high voltage contactor control machines (Holbrook, my P&W et al).

I have 1 ground under the single phase supply in and another ground for 3 phase out

I wired the single phase earth to the one under the single phase in

Then the 2 motor earth I put one under the 3 phase out ground terminal and the other under the single phase in does this seem correct ?? And the pendant I was also going to earth here

            Sorry to sound completely stupid

I'd put all the power side grounds, single and three phase together and connect to the workshop earth.

              They are for safety.

Leave the shielded ground terminal floating. Just connect the screen of the control cable from the pendant to it. Calling it ground is a little misleading if you aren't familiar with how things go.

Pendant box, if metal, should earth out OK to the machine via its bolts but you could use a wire. Most of the pendant boxes supplied to folks like us are plastic so inherently safe anyway.
