      Hello,

Apologies if I should not be posting on here, given I have advertised on the classifieds.

My Dad has recently passed away and we need to clear out his workshop quite soon. My Dad was a bench joiner but was also interested in model engineering, metalwork and woodworking. There are a number of items including heavy machinery such as lathes and milling machine. There are also many other larger tools/machinery and smaller items built up over a number of years.

We would be hoping for individuals/company looking to come and clear and purchase the whole lot from us. The property is located in Berkshire. We have pictures we can share on request.

If not directly interested in purchase, would be very grateful of any companies that could be recommended. We have engaged with a couple but made no progress.

      Many thanks.

      Alex

To temper your expectations, having looked over the pictures there isn’t much there that makes it worth the time for dealers to considor it. You’d be better off shifting the machines on Ebay for £300-500 each to get them gone, as they’re generic Chinese gear that would be hard to find interest in from dealers. The bits I deal in and sell all have bits missing or have rusted, which wouldn’t make the drive worth it, certainly for what I’d offer.

There is a workshop clearance place, who deals in small machine tools, that advertises in the back of Model Engineer.

You might contact your local model engineering society. Although many will have machines already someone might be interested in upgrading. Once you have sold the main machines the society might agree to clear the rest and sell internally for club funds. At least your dad is helping a club rather than the scrapman.
The endmill sharpening lunar module is what ArcEuro sell and has had some discussion on here a few years ago. I’ve not seen one on the second hand market before.
