Will a da180 collet fit into a er32 collet chuck?

I would like to purchase a collet block to hold round stock in a milling vice and I already have a set of Erickson DA180 collets and was wondering if an ER collet chuck would hold a DA collet and if so what size?

I would think you will have to make your own blocks for the DA collets.

If you have a holder for the da collets make up square and hexagon blocks like Stevenson ER collet blocks, and nuts to match the collets.

If you don’t have a holder, ypou will need to make up the blocks, and closing nuts, to suit the da collets, but the thread can be any that suit your pupose (ER collets use a 1.5 mm pitch thread, usually the next size up from the collet range. Thus ER32 collets use a 40 x 1.5 mm thread.

The nuts will need to incorporate means of releasing the collet, in the same way that the eccentric lip does in the ER collet nuts.
