      That looks much better than your original picture. Leaving the patina on the bare metal means it still looks old – a complete polish for 'showroom finish' would not have looked right.

        I was just wondering, how big would a boiler need to be to run an S9, I should imagine it would be a fair size just going by the amount of air it requires. If I can say how big to the owner, it might stop him from wanting one, I'm not building it. Ian S C

          Just a bit more to the above entry, spoke to the owner this evening, and he said that a scrap merchant got down on the boiler that went with this engine. If the engine was any indication of the quality of the boiler, it's proberbly best the scrappy got there first. Ian S C
