      Good Evening,

I am in the process of disassembling my 1955 Myford Super-7… I am planning to get the bed, saddle & cross-slide re-ground…

So far I’ve got as possibilities ‘Myford’ themselves, and also ‘Unislide’ near Coventry.

Does anybody have any experience with these companies, and indeed any recommendations as to whom else to go to??

      Many thanks in advance… Rich D. 😎🇬🇧👍

No experience personally of either, but I’ve heard good reports of James Garside in Halifax

Not sure if it’s still relevant…. Doubt it…. But Myford ( Beeston ) did a regrind service. I got my S7 reground there …. ummmmm 23 years ago ! . It was easy, I dropped it off, long drive south, and they shipped it back. It needed a shipping crate though…. Which I still have…  I doubt the current Myford company still offer this service.

            And…

It was a good job… Lathe still very tight and crisp after 20+ years active service after the re-grind.
