Where did this come from?

I was reading the Steve Ward indexer thread and when I got to the last post saw the new enhanced editing window!

I looked without success to see when this new feature had been introduced, except it only seems to be present in the one particular thread.

My luck hasn't lasted!

Just been back to the same thread and its gone. I've no idea where it came from but I do recall that it took longer than normal for that thread to open. (XP and Firefox)

Probably decided against implementing it in case we hurt ourselves. Does look rather grown up, though!

Hopefully it will be enabled soon, along with stickies, post numbers etc. You never know….

I think we do know!

'Enabled', 'soon' have different meanings within MTM. I'm all for change and the benefits it could bring but compared to the earlier days of this forum it has at least reached a level of usability. I'm happy to put up with its foibles.

Very strange – an editor has been promised,but delayed because of it needs to be wrapped with a full update of the site, but as Katy is away for a week, i can't see it's planned..

My guess is that its another version of the standard editor that another site loaded and somehow got cached and used instead
