I have a digital description for Model Engineers Workshop which I would like to read on my IPad 1 in the workshop.

My iPad is running iOS 5.1.1. Pocket mags app will only run on iOS 6 where can I get the older app ?

I did email them but they did not reply.

            I will try again.

            Thanks

                Ken,

I don't use pocketmags, so I don't know if this is any help.

IF you have the facility to save the mags [or parts thereof] as PDF, then I would recommend GoodReader.

Unfortunately, Apple [post- Steve Jobs] seems determined to make the older devices obsolete, simply by encouraging App Developers to update their Apps to support the latest iOS, but not permitting them to provide backward compatibility.

                MichaelG.

                .

Edit: Sorry … unless you already have GoodReader; it's too late

… minimum iOS for the current version is iOS 6

                  Hi Michael

                  Thanks for the post.

The crazy thing about this is that (after a bit of experimentation) all the archives are available to read online.

The current versions can be read here but not through Pocketmags..

                  Wny use Pocketmags?

                  Ken

Pocketmags "Offline" viewer allows you to read the subscription mags without internet connection and if you only have a digital sub it will still allow you to view the ones you have paid for when your sub expires assuming your hardware has not expired firstwink 2
