Home made again. 22ish cm tall. The rectangular little bits could screw to end of slide.

That is a radius dresser for a grinding wheel. The slide allows adustment of radius. The diamond goes in the holder at the top. The whole thing pivots coaxial with the capscrew. It is ‘tall’ so it acts at the centre height of the wheel (or, I think, it would dress to an elliptical shape).

Agreed it’s a beautifully made radius dresser. I can’t fathom how the setting shims are used but it should be obvious with a bit of experimentation.

Yes looks like a ‘shop made’ wheel dresser. The ones I have actually seen in the flesh were I think 2 sliding castings rather like a top slide, but it’s been a long time?
