      Hello to all,

I have a just completed a very long build on a Ken swan 7.25" Gauge Bridget Started by my late father

But i now need to sort out a boiler for her. Question is is worth making my own As Boiler Reg's have changed so much since we started this build 15 years back my boiler man (My Late Father) Started a boiler but never lived to complete it, And from what i have been reading on the new Boiler Reg's it seems Not all loco Drawings now Comply There seem very little information on specific locos of what would require a differect approach to to building there Boilers from there Drawings.

Any Help or Advice would Most Welcome.

          Welcome Robert,

I am no expert on loco boilers, but I am sure someone here will be able to confirm if the original design is still OK – my impression is that the new regulations would only rule out a professional finishing the boiler for you (as they have to be able to trace all the materials) – but as i say I am no expert.

Probably the best thing to do is contact the boiler inspector at the local model engineering club.
