I would be interested in the source you have for that.

All I can say is they must have put a hell of a lot of polish on them and imported the steel.!!! Mine dates back to the 1980's and still has no corrosion and feels better than any brand new recent import I have had my mits on.

They are also 10×20 not 12×36

Think this guy would have also mentioned it as he does so if it applies to other machines. **LINK**
