What does this ICON mean and why is the icon for this forum (On my MAC) use it?

Just a recognisable tag, a spanner in a gearwheel recognisably suggesting the site is engineering related, not to be confused with Youtube, Facebook or Twitter,

The above could represent my interest in computer driven mechanicals. More appropriate is the one below – the junk bin most of my projects end up in!

That same icon is in my bookmarks with the Firefox browser that I use in my Windows 11 pc.

It’s known as a Favicon and is an identifier for a particular website, normally designed by the site’s author.
