You can physically fit a 1/2″ tool in the holder but 10mm is about the tops because you can’t get the holder low enough to get the tip at centre height. I can give you an exact measurement tomorrow.

            Hi There
            Not a lot left.
Just the big old machines that are fit for scrap.
            regards David

I’ve been told that there are around 5 “incomplete” (without chucks and accessories I understand) brand new Myford Super 7 Big Bore machines left for sale.

Just jumping back to the QC toolholders briefly, for the record their capacity is a shade over 13mm but 10mm is the largest tool you’ll get in there with the tip at centre height with the standard topslide.

                  Hi Martin
You corrupted the post somehow so I had to edit it.
I don’t know what the original post was so can’t reinstate it.
Looks you you copied from a web browser.

                    Hello all

Could I ask advice on the following matter
Myford Brand – Dickson tool holders I believe were manufactured by a small company in Devon or Cornwall Does anyone know if they are still making these and if they can be purchased ?

                    Hi There
                    The small company closed down.
You can tell genuine Myford as they have a W on them.
Should have been an M but they read it upside down.
                    regards David

From our Knowledgable friend KWIL regarding the “W”

” Weston Engineering Some think it is an upside down M for Myford.

There is now a catalogue available.

No photos so a visit is needed before bidding.

There are photo’s if you go direct to their web site but as David says unless you want to take a chance a visit next Tuesday is necessary.

I was down there again this Tuesday and it’s now looking a sorry setup.
RDG was pulling the last artic load out of there, all the patterns.
Looking at some of them and the age and condition I think Hebden Bridge will be kept warm this winter.
