First job today was to move this thread to the correct section of the forum and lock the old one, you just can't get the staff
Last years thread is still here should you wish to refer back to it
I know threads tend to drift off topic but If we can try to keep it withing the main forum section of "Work in progress and completed items photos" though photos of progress are welcome and often as interesting as the finished item.
It's not just limited to model engineering or making tooling, if you have knocked up something for your motorbike or RC heli for example thats more than welcome, infact anything you have done in the workshop. That can also be extended to the study, kitchen table, etc as it would also be good to see any projects that are being drawn up or the latest item to be produced on that 3D printer that Santa has just dropped off.
New to forums.I just used my gantry hoist to shift my table saw over my messy workshop. No sore back this time. I would include a photo but I dont know how?
Last gasp of 2014 was to swap ina DiMarzio stacked humbucker for the bridge pickup on my Squier Tele, and work out a decent wiring scheme for a 5-way strat pickup switch. Not much engineering but some freehand wood routing and plastic cutting (with the Dremel) and some gluing and soldering.
Today learned that when you find a slip of paper with connections on it inside a motor's junction box, don't believe everything it says! It DID work fine when connected as described, but the advice for reversing was wrong. No harm done, just some buzzing and a bit of head scratching.
Had an hour outside, in my childhood I spent many hours in and around the local British Rail engine shed ''Ryecroft ' 3C so my wife recons I still spend all my time in the 'shed' she got me …….
Welcome Brian – you need to use the albums link at the top of the page to create an album and put some photos in it. You can then use the camera icon in the reply box to select the photo.

Could you please give a blow by blow regarding attaching photographs, I put up a post the other night regarding A4 Bittern and tried to upload a picture and basically gave up because it wouldn't work.
Could you give a blow by blow on how to attach a photograph to a posting as I tried to attach a picture to a post about A4 Bittern and no matter how I tried I ended up giving up and the posting went on with no picture except for a graphic in the bottom corner.

er which language is this in? I heard some place just adopted the Euro on the news but didn't know some new country had joined the EU modelling fraternity.
Took mouse for a walk, probbly not far enough so will see if it returns in a few days if the owl doesn't feel like dinner. Spent the morning in the Community Cafe in the village hall which was not getting any tourist custom, just the villagers so we stayed open a bit longer then packed up. When all the tables and chairs were stacked 3 tourist families came in so an extra £20 for funds.
Now it is cold, dark and wet I can sit by the fire and do my "age of steam" jigsaw.
A4 Bittern on her final main line run before removal for her 10 year ticket renewal, she will run on a preserved line for a while and then stripped for her overhaul.
