what a guy, Frank Rothwell

I was reading the club news from Geoff Theasby in M.E. 4734 and was intrigued by the pictured steam land rover owned by Oldham football club chairman, Frank Rothwell.

And what guy Frank is, into his 70’s and now 1500 miles into a charity solo rowing journey across the Atlantic ocean from the canary islands to Antigua. And he’s already done it once in 2022. Frank describes his journey as like a day out in Blackpool

Canarys to Antigua is the nice bit, not much wind or sea, great weather every day

You’re basically next to the doldrums

You could hear concorde passing each day with its sonic boom

Still a big achievement to do what he’s doing though, especially in his 70s
