      Hello all..need some help ( again… ) is possible…

Went up the shed last night to try and do a bit.

Whilst using the mill the table felt notchy in the X ( was ok last time i used it )

Would guess i have got something in there, any ideas how i remove the table ?

quick look would suggest if i remove the handles and end covers the table should slide off

      thanks

      Brian

I think this is the same machine as Weiss wm-30? If so:

Remove gib adjusters. Tap out the gib.

If you remove handle and end cover on one side, then remove end cover screws on other side, the lead screw can be removed.

          Table can be lifted off

By the way, have you checked the thrust bearings on the handle.

              Hello Yngvar..

Stripped the table of tonight, gave all a good clean and a coat of oil, cleaned and greased the thrust bearings and all seem good again..

One question if I may, is the gearbox sealed or should I be oiling something?, sorry if this seems a daft question but the machine is quite new to me..

              thanks for any help, Brian

                Hi Brian

I've just put some grease on the gears from time to time.

If you turn the head 90 degrees you get access through an inspection cover at the back.
