Anyone out there got one of these that they can share details of? This was the small sheet bender with exchangeable bedding bars. It has long been discontinued by Warco and they don’t have any of the original drawings for it.

Hi Gary, I don't have one, but I guess you are talking about the one in the scan below.

Hi Gary, yes it is from an old catalogue but I don't remember exactly what year, but maybe from the very late 90's to early 2000's, the front cover shown below.

              Regards Nick.

P.S. I've found in the T's & C's, that the prices in this catalogue were valid to May 2007 and it's also in their issue 12 catalogue where the prices were valid to May 2010, but it wasn't in their issue 12 catalogue.

Hi, in my above post in the P.S. it should say "but it wasn't in their issue 13"

                Regards Nick.

That catalogue gives the width capacity as 150mm so from that you can easily work out the whole design,

IMO We need a cool tools subsection of the forum so that various ideas and inventions can get grouped together for members to browse at for ideas and projects and researching

the CZ bender is the obvious one we looked at

I found a 1940s widget recently while browsing, the Juneero

If you scale it up you get stuff like the powerbender

Biggest problem is all these ideas and projects sidetrack you from actually getting stuff done

                        Bingo

MEW No 127 has a "Using the Magnum Bender" article

Also MEW 122 has its development

(I will put the articles up later… busy busy busy)

Being a bit of a cynic, I might guess that this machine (though small) was too good for Warco. In that I mean there were cheaper (inferior) machines coming in from china, with greater capacity – but most importantly a good mark-up. These would have been sold by their competitors (if they didn’t join the flock) and made these machines unsaleable.

That likely means this machine is likely a good quality version of the design (likely not the best, of course – those would be to ‘aircraft standards’🙂 ).
