Hi all, unfortunately my father passed last year and we are now in the position to move on his machines to a new home as I don’t have enough room to store or use them.

He has a Warco WM250 Lathe & WM18 Mill and loads of associated tooling and fixturing from years of toolmaking.

Where is the best place to sell them?  eBay, Facebook, or is there a classifieds page here

Would you also advise on current going rates for his machines?PXL_20250425_122341860PXL_20250425_122314462PXL_20250329_174917700PXL_20250329_174817151PXL_20250329_174825824PXL_20250329_174859604

      Thanks

Hi, there’s a classifieds link in the pale blue band at the top of this page, for selling on here. I can’t help you with the value though.

        Regards Nick.

          Hi, sorry for your loss.

I would estimate both machines to be around £1200 each.

The mill looks to have some nice additions like the dro and I think a vfd.  Look on eBay to see how much these machines are fetching.  In my experience eBay is the best place to sell as it reaches a large audience and is designed to facilitate competitive bidding. Auction best with a lowish starting bid to attract interest. Identify what attractive accessories each has that will increase interest,  such as milling vice, collet chuck etc.

That’s roughly half their current new price and they look to be in new condition so I would expect the auction prices to comfortably exceed that.

Hi, the mill that the O/P has sown is older than it looks, it has an MT3 spindle taper and a shorter table, and the prices shown in the scan below, were valid on the 1st May 2007, therefore the price can’t be truly compared with todays models.

On the other hand, someone may prefer the shorter table, and/or the MT3 spindle taper.

                Regards Nick.

Maybe on eBay if he has some tooling. But there’s none in the pictures.

                    Thanks all for the replies.

As for tooling, there is loads of turning and milling cutters in HSS and carbide. Chucks, collets and all others bits and pieces. He also has a cutter grinder and granite inspection table too.

I will try this weekend to group together and take pictures of it all.
