There are a plethora of options for getting a quick change tool post (QCTP) onto the Warco 250 lathe. I decided to get the Warco ready machined version, and am very happy with it. Thoroughly recommended. If anyone is contemplating similar take a look at my video below.

Usual disclaimer – I've got nothing to do with Warco other than a happy customer.

As an owner of a new warco wm240 I have just bought the same quick change tool post as above, and it great. with a few extra holders its about £ 200.00 but so nice to use once you get all the tools onto the right height. no more messing around with bits of shim. Even the parting tool now works well, although I have bought the rear parting tool holder, it takes up quite a bit of room.

Hi, I also have recently purchased a Warco 250v lathe and had an, arceuro quick change tool post which I used on my old clarke lathe, all I needed to do was enlarge the reses under the tool post ,I olso made more tool holders from the scrap box works fine and didn't cost much.

I have a WM250 V-F bought from the Harrogate exhib' back in 2012… very satisfied with it. have also fitted QCTP to it, a Dickson clone – Bison, so much easier to change tooling, as you now know thumbs up . It has developed an oil leak from the saddle over the past couple of years but never got round to it as it wasn't drastic but have now got my finger out & am sorting it out today. I intend taking a couple of pics along the way… if I remember, so will post later on.

              George.

p.s. could a moderator combine this thread with the original thread … 'Warco WM250 & WM16 family ' thread from way back or is this thread one & the same?

Can I ask, was the Clarke a CL500M & which ArcEuro QC toolpost did you use? I have the Warco variant of the Clarke & that could well be very useful.

                Regards,

                Richard
