Voting is now open for the 2018 John Stevenson Trophy.

Nominations have been received by the judges, and after some consideration we have identified a shortlist of six items. Our thanks to everyone who made a nomination.

Criteria for inclusion on the shortlist are that the tooling is practical and capable of being used for accurate work in a home workshop setting. It should demonstrate ingenuity, good design, economical use of materials and be appropriately finished for its function.

It's probably me, but I don't see a form at the bottom of the nominations page, only a tiny link to the 'survey solutions' home page.

Is my system blocking it?

There should be a green box with options to vote for the items which will change to a smaller box with "thanks for your vote" once you have voted. This is just above that link.

It's probably our over-enthusiastic server at work. It attempts to block pretty much anything!

The voting form says "Details of the entries an(sic) be found on the Model Engineers' Workshop Forum". I don't see that in this thread, so where? Why do I want the detail? One of the criteria is 'appropriately finished'. Only three of the single pages presented show the finish (two are WIP, one is a line drawing)..

Voting worked for me. I might have been befuddled by:

My apologies for the delay, a technical problem meant we couldn't arrange a presentation at Doncaster (not the fault of the Doncaster folks).

The results will appear in the next issue of MEW, together with a simultaneous announcement on here.

Entrants will be informed slightly in advance of the 'official' announcement.

Thanks for your patience; this has been a 'learning' experience and although things have happened as planned they have just taken longer than expected. We will learn and amend the format for next year.
