Having paid a 3 month subscription as part of direct debit I can log in ok but that’s about it. I can’t open the latest mag which is dated 25/3 to 7/4.

The links in the email don’t work…you have to type it in by hand.

I got a link to the latest issue 7/5 with no content on the page.

      where’s the April / May edition ?

      No back numbers available !!!

the whole thing is an extremely poor show so I’ll be cancelling the subscription. Very annoyed the worst web site I’ve ever seen and I’ve come across some bad ones.

Alan, the best way to view the mags and get them quickly* is via Pocketmags which is also a better viewer and has the option to print pages. If you go to pocketmags and register then once you have done that go to my Account and select Activate a subscription. You will need your 10 digit subs number for this. If you then contact pocketmags they can backdate what issues you can see to the start of your subscription

*Also if you have a read of this thread you will see that due to the transition from old publisher to new there are a few delays but they are being sorted the latest mag is lmost on pocket mags.

You can view the archive by clicking on "magazines" along the top green bar, then "Model Engineer" where you will see all the covers. I logged in as you and it worked fine.

How do I get my 10 digit subscription number?

mine seems a lot longer. I tried parts of it and it did not work.

Should be on the conformation e-mail when you took out your subscription

I only have the paper subscriotion number thay comes with the magazine cover sheet.

That is why I am reluctant to take out digital subscriptions.

I would like access to digital and back issues.

You will need to contact the subscriptions department then.

But also see my reply to your post about digital/archive the other day.

Thats the attitude that will get you nowhere. Straight in for the kill. 1st post a complaint. How about "hello my name is so & so I am new to the forum and am having a bit of trouble downloading/viewing my mags, HELP".         Your 1st port of call should be the subscription department.

I find find that 99.9% of people having trouble with any website are either clicking tooo many buttons, not reading the instructions, are to impatient to allow the site to load the pages properly or forget to scroll down pages for further info'.

I am sure there will be a simple explanation for you problems. As JasonB says use Pocketmags as this is an easy way to view the mags. The vast majority of subscribers seem to have few problems.

I hope you sort it out soon. regards

Oldiron I am sure Mr Branson is entitled to complain any way he wants, creepy crawly way or straight for the jugular.

I agree that he is entitled to complain. I am not disputing that fact. He does not state whether he had complained to the subscrition department first. Just to come here and go straight into a rant about how crappy the website is the wrong way to go about fixing his problem. What does he think that we the forum members can do about it. We have no magic wand. I think that a more polite post would have got him a lot more help than just JasonB's post which was on the money but not a thank you from the OP .

I hope he got it sorted but as we have had no more feedback I doubt it.

                        regards
