I bought one of these things thinking it would be useful. It is anything but obvious how to use it and there are no instructions. I've searched the web, but all to no avail. Not even a You Tube video!

The device itself is marked as TC13-MT2.

Can anyone help me out here?

      Thanks.

It would help to post a picture of the unit. A quick search for Vertex tapping head gives results that have a passing resemblance to Procunier tapping heads, so they may work in the same way.

It is a tapping _chuck_ not a tapping head.

Effectively, it is a 2-jaw jacobs chuck.

I am not sure what instructions might be necessary.

Insert square end of tap into device. Tighten. Use. Remove tap when finished.

              I find it very useful.

The part that say open?close is adjustable for size of square on tap ,front chuck holds tap central. The way I use mine is to fit tap in outer chuck jaws as a sliding fit then slide tap to the rear and adjust rear jaws to clamp square on tap, tighten front jaws and you are good to go.

Thank you gentlemen. I though it was more than it is.

                  Another misguided purchase!

Anyway now I might start to use it.

                  Thanks again.

                    Or use a drill chuck.
