If you know nothing, how come the sale is on behalf of the Bournemouth & District MES? Surely, there will be enough informed opinion available within a model engineering society, even if one of its members does not want to take over the project.

It looks like a very high standard of workmanship but I personally couldn’t put a value on it. Perhaps an auction site would determine its true value because, just like everything else, it is only worth as much as the buyer is willing to pay against how much the vendor is prepared to accept.

I know nothing. It’s for sale on behalf of my father in law who was given the model after the builder passed away.
My father in law knows a little bit (he’s part of the club) and I’m happy to put people in touch. But he’s never delved into this project with the intention of completing it so  no information can be given in terms of what parts are present or missing or what level of work is required to finish.

Any sale funds will be passed to the club. If it’s worth no more than scrap value so be it. There is no price in mind.
