The only one I can remember Tel doing was the horizontal "Green Twin" based on an engine Preston Services had for sale. Pat Jorgenson has done a nice version of this

Jo covered the Stuart and Blackgate ones.

Here is my rather dusty steam launch with a Reeves V twin double acting oscillator, centre flue boiler and a petrol blow lamp. The engine has a throttle and it also does ahead and astern but not 100% reliable. Never caused a problem while I have been sailing it and it’s done a fair bit.

Check on the Model Boats forum as many years ago they had plans for a V twin and a V4, I know because I made them both.

The Reeves popular V twin is not 90 degrees . in my smaller boats I use the Reeves design and simply fabricate the standard at 90 degrees. The popular is my go to engine as it is a good runner

Jan Gunnerson also made a very nice V twin piston valved engine although I cannot find the drawings

The Peter Arnot engine is also a good little performer if a tad fiddly to assemble . The boiler he designed for the V4 is a good steamer

Currently playing with a single double acting engine with a kick starter for a River Princess . Nearly working correctly but still a bit of tweaking to do
