The remote (RJ45) terminal used to work perfectly, all buttons operative.

After a reset to factory defaults and entering motor details the ATV12 works and the jog dial is fine.

All the buttons on the terminal work except ‘run’ and ‘forward/reverse’.  I must have previously altered some parameters on the ATV12 but have forgotten which.

      Any help greatly appreciated.

I don’t know how the remote that you are using is wired, but I do have both the original manual for the 750W model that I bought plus the Inverter Drive Supermarket’s own Easy Start Guide. I would think that the programming does not differ much between models and several are still available from the IDS. I wired up everything but reverse which was not needed.

Thanks for that.   I already had those manuals from IDS but had not found anything stated about having both the remote and local control available.  I know it’s possible because I had it set up before.  The wiring is as simple as it gets as there is just an ethernet cable between the ATV12 and the display.   The parameter settings are another matter.

Just to eliminate the possibility, is it worth confirming continuity on all wires of the RJ45 cable?

Similarly, once the cable is known good, check that pressing the appropriate button on the remote sends a signal to the VFD.

If you get stuck, call or  e-mail Schneider help desk.  One big advantage of using major brand equipment is that there is someone locally available to advise in such cases.

I’ve witnessed Schneider helpdesk happily spend nearly an hour on the phone assisting someone who was new to their VFDs.

Looks like you have to set Modbus port of the device to ‘talk’ to the remote – see p34 of ATV12 manual and p9 of the associated Modbus communications manual.
