IanP,
My limited understanding of these so-called social accounts is that they are mainly used by people with nothing better to do. In which case they won't be interested in what I'm doing, and I certainly aren't interested in what they are doing.
Those people who do know what I'm doing, do indeed know what I'm doing, if that makes sense, so there is no need to tell them. Ditto those people who I want to know what I'm doing, do indeed already know. Hence as far as I am concerned there is next to nothing to be gained by me from Twitter.
On a general note, I have over the last few months (since it got too cold to go in the garage) spent far too long using this electronic bunch of tricks. I had been thinking that I might, just might, be able to get in the garage and have a tidy up and a memory refresh of what I was doing sometime last year. Only problem is that "The Beast from The East" looks like arising again.
Bazyle,
I'd like to think that I might experience what you are saying. Sadly, if I'm still around in 40 years time, I'll be in the running for being one of the world's oldest men. Mind you, I might even be able to meet my great-great-grandchildren. As it is, I think I've a good chance of seeing my grandsons' weddings, a reasonable chance of seeing my elder granddaughter wed, and very unlikely to see my younger granddaughter wed, more's the pity..
Regards,
Peter G. Shaw
