Hi I am pleased to say I've finally finished my engine. The Trunch Trojan designed and drawn by Bob Middleton to whom I am very much indebted.

Bob said he had set some challenges inhis design and I can sa that he was not understating.

It took me 12 month + but very rewarding and for myfirst project I am relly pleased with it. It still needs a plinth and painting but that will be a doddle compared.

I have attached a few pics for your perusal.

I keep reading that the hobby is declining – I wonder why!

I'm with Roy on crosshead and socket head screws, they're ok for a toy but out of place on an engineering model.

Well done Arthur it looks good to me – and for a first project – VERY good. I hope you won't let the miserable "fixtures" criticisms delay the start of your second project. NIL CARBORUNDUM !

That looks to have turned out OK and good to see the finished model posted her which is nice for those few of us that have answered your queries along the way.

Congratulations Arthur and add a +1 for Rik Shaw's comment.

Extracted from Neil's post announcing the : 2020 Stevenson Trophy Competition.
“works well” and “reticence about traditional competitions.”

A first attempt posted in the Miscellaneous Models section of the Forum deserves full encouragement.
I know it's not a tool, but I like to think that the late Sir John would be helpful and encouraging.
For me : adverse comments are only valid when the subject is claimed as a scale replica.
I hope that your experiences will benefit your next project.

                            Hi all

Thanks for all your lovely comments.

Have already ordered the kit for my next project.

It will be the Stuart victoria from grey castings.

I know that you guys will help out if I get stuck.

I need to upgrade my miller which is the clarkes cmd 10.

Much too small for the 13 inch bed on the victoria.

Im thinking of a Sieg. Any advice appreciated.

                            Arthur
