… As it would appear that Salmen the original printers of these charts is no longer in existence I am in the process of getting some made and laminated. Just wondered if there is any mileage in getting a quantity made and selling them on for a wee bit of profit?

Not something I’d pay for I’m afraid.   I don’t have a wooden tool-chest, have a computer and technical library, and laminate my own charts for workshop use, 4 of them!

That’s just me though.  There must be plenty of workshops full of beautiful antique wooden chests with mangled charts, whose owners are desperate to restore them.   Also, those who would like charts on the wall but don’t have the skills needed to laminate their own.   Might sell like hot-cakes on ebay.

That is not too far off Foolscap size. Though where you might get foolscap paper for a printer I don’t know

I have a couple of 500 sheet packets (I suppose I should call them reams) that I don’t know what to do with.  Yours for the cost of postage.

Tracy tools used to sell a wall chart that might work. Noel.

Put a cheap tablet on the lid, you can look up anything then, even order the metal stock for the next project.

If you are going to do that may as well go the whole hog and burn those old wooden chests and get a modern plastic one like mine😈😈

I wouldn’t want on either. I’ve always had a Zeus booklet on hand since about 1975, plus a Dormer tap & die catalogue from 1977 (sadly on the verge of disintegration) for more detailed thread data when I want it.

There’s no point in trashing or praising any unit of measure system – they are what they are and we just have to get on with them, like the weather.

Just be grateful we actually have international UoM systems where everybody’s millimetre and thou are the same.
