I have material enough and was just about ready to start making some toolmakers clamps for a project when I found an add in the local classifieds for clamps. The toolmaker clamps are Moore and Wright and the other clever clamps are very powerful. All for 40£ with shipping.
Nice find indeed. I can understand the accumulation of toolmakers clamps, but twelve hand vices? I’ve only ever used them one at a time. Well maybe two some while ago for a batch job.
I’ve often thought that a parallel jawed hand vice would be useful. Not that I’ve ever had one slip, but the single line clamping has always felt a bit dubious in some cases.
