      <p style=”text-align: left;”>Morning.
I’ve just purchased some used tooling and there’s one item that I can’t identify! I’ll attach photos below and would appreciate any help in finding out what this is please?
      Thanks Paul</p>

I think that is a roller burnishing tool, for finishing a hole or bore.

It looks a bit like a tube expander, but as its obviously machine driven it could be for burnishing a bored hole???

Never seen one before but roller burnishing tool ls my guess by the adjustment. Doesn’t look like a tube expander – to well made. Noel.

Morwe to the point than the remark about quality, a tube-expander is not likely to have a taper shank unless for forming tubes before fitting them to whatever is intended. Also the rollers seem parallel, not tapered, so not an expander for heat-exchangers.

Bought some tube expanders at work and they had angled rollers to pull the expander body’s lip up to the edge of the tube. They also had a separate taper pin with a square drive on the end that was pulled in by the angle to expand the rollers outwards. Reversing the direction the taper pin was being turned loosened it all off.
