Well Jason
I don't know if I qualify as am "Armchair Engineer" but I have restored quite a few dining chairs in my time – however I would class this as "Woodwork" rather than "Engineering"! ( Although, on reflection, a degree of metalwork has often figured in the more challenging repairs.)
Tool sale – raised a small chuckle.
50 Sheds of Grey – probably far more to my taste than the work parodied although I've not read, and am unlikely to read, the original work. With all the vast array of interesting and enjoyable literature out there I just don't have the time or inclination.

I found the "trailer" more silly than offensive. I can't really work up much anger about it and I guess it did produce a fleeting wry smile. It appears that the "Shades of Grey" is popular with the ladies whereas "Sheds of Grey" ( or any other colour for that matter) are justly popular with Model Engineers.
So should it be on a ME forum? – It seems some had a chuckle and really – "I ain't bovered!!"
I am certainly not offended by it but of course it is always important to think carefully before posting to ensure that our comments will not offend others.
