        Hii

I've been working on a tiny vertical engine with a reverse based on a design by George Britnel I redrew the engine in metric and changed the valve to a piston valve as I figured it would be easier to make

Heir's a few progress shots and a video of it working its very much in the raw state as yet

        Enjoy

            Vey impressive.

Those little chaps in the blue overalls look to be doing a grand job as well.

Neat little engine, well done Stew. Good to see such a small engine done 'properly'!

P.S. Blue dungarees with envelopes on the front? Are they a cross between Postman Pat and Dexy's Midnight Runners?

                Thanks for your interest Chaps

I wasn't very consistent running out of it so I've spent some time doing a bit of fettling and change the design slightly it know runs 100% better I'm well pleased with it.

I'm now going to Glam it up a bit cool

                    Stew,

Nice work, I'm impressed how well it runs on 5 psi. What size bolts are holding the con-rod together?

When I first saw your little mechanics, I was half listening to a program on TV, they were talking about Smurf Mechanics, in particular ones with yellow overalls, worth a few hundred Euros each, the Lego ones will be cheaper on the job.

Well I've been tinkering about with this little beast for long enough so decided to do a bit of finishing work to it

Made a base from a chip off the old thrown

Well now we know the real reason it's 'potty' engineering.

You'd better write that one up for Diane!

Very impressive at low speed. Good example of precision engineering but I think you've missed an opertunity to make a really nice picture frame for someone's Mother-in-law! 😉

Particular congratulations to make something that stands comparison with its inspiration in the Joe Martin craftsmanship gallery!

This is George Britnell's original, to my eye Stew's looks to have finer degree of finish!
