Why has the name of albums disappeared and Gallery is in its place, my understanding is that an album is  part of a gallery? If I click on gallery on most sites it shows all their pics.

Posted about a lot on the old site and also mentioned here

All albums from the old site have not been carried forwards.

There will be little need for them now a syou can simply drag and drop images into a reply.

Almost all Galleries will be empty as people have not starte dto created them yet but if you click my avitar and then click galleries on the page that comes up you can see what they are like when created

A Gallery on this site is very different from an Album on the old, and I don’t expect them to be used much.   They’re a repository for pictures and documents that aren’t used in posts.     For example a gallery could be used to provide several photographs in support of a Classified Advert, or to host a PDF manual.  Otherwise, easier just to paste photos directly into posts.

A struggle to login for me Captcha timeout errors. Also getting Cloudflare Checking if the site connection is secure, verify you are human pages when switching between forum topics.

I feel quite disappointed with the new website/forum software and think it would be hard going even for a new user. I know it not fair to pass judgement on an unfinished product and I’m more than prepared to wait but my fear is that it will not change enough to make me want to stay the course.

I know there is resistance to change, I am guilty of it myself sometimes, but I feel this new format is going to take a great deal of getting used to on my part. It’s early days and my first visit, only time will tell.

Lets check things out first, and kick the tires, and not pass hasty initial first-blush judements.

is there a latest post mechanism – to be honest never really used the themed thread mechanism as interesting material can be found in any threads.

as for both cloudflare + google captcha – I guess required so that google can track
