He spoiled it for me when he held the hammer by the head end. It might have been because he knew the head was about to come off. And the cutting torch and sunglasses.

I used a bit of 1.5" galv water pipe for a power cylinder of a hot air motor, got to just on the right bore then ping and the weld let go. I closed it up with a jubilee clip then ran a weld down the outside of the tube, the motor still runs well with a cast iron piston. After welding and boring to size it was honed with a brake cylinder hone, then lapped with a wooden lap.
