I think it's gin-clear from SOD's pics that the cupola rotates. It would make sense when fighting the enemy in front to have the vision slit forrard, along with the ability to hide behind the half-hatch – held vertical – from fire from the front.

Over most of their surface, the Vickers light tanks were quite incapable of keeping out anything more than rifle-calibre smallarms fire and splinters. Their thickest armour might resist an oblique hit from an AP heavy MG round.

Only 14mm according to the 'tank chat'. A sort of armoured car with tracks…

          Here's some more bits:

          Prototype gun (since redone, longer).

              GAAH!

Printing a 160mm diameter gear for the turret – just realised that it didn't need to be at 0.1mm layer height… this coudl take a while.

I hope they didn't look it up on the Internet and find the answer on this thread…

                  It could be we're a self-licking lollipop.

I'd hope their detail knowledge is better than some of their chaotic displays.

Last time I went I reckoned it would be quite possible for a careless visitor to walk away thinking that Matilda 1s were fighting Royal Tigers at El Alamein…

And where they could have shown 70-odd years of continuous incremental development from (say) Cruiser Mk.IV to Challenger 2, they had the cruisers scattered at apparent random through the displays.

Still, I'd hope they wouldn't be so lazy as just to look on the web.

Hi guys, my name is Colin and I'm very interested to know also if the Cupola on a Vickers light tank rotates. Have you had a definite confirmation on this as all information I have says that it is fixed. and there are no visible signs that I have seen that tells me otherwise. Could anyone conform this for me.

Ah tank builders of the forum unite!
Has anyone seen the new Armortek kit? Rolls Royce armoured car, very nice indeed.
Can build plain chassis, engine or fully armoured vehicle. Worth a look for those whose machining skills may not be up to the work but want to build something stunning.
Have a look at my 6th scale centurion in my albums.
                        Best regards Mick

It rotates, I tweeted the Bovingdon Tank museum who have one and they replied to say it does.
