Gentlemen I need your help, having obtained a pre built loco I am having trouble finding BA screw sizes, I have found some on various sites but It appears that the ones I need have to be Stainless Steel, EKP have some sizes but what I need are about a dozen 6ba x 3/4" reduced size Hex Head bolts but there are none to be found anywhere on the web, even though dealers advertise them there are none on their sites, I would appreciate any leads, suggestions or offers bearing in mind that some dealers want a LOT of money for a single bolt.

Stainless are not so common from the ME suppliers, add to that you want small hex which reduces the choice even more you may just be better off knocking them up from some round stainless as you probably won't find the hex rod anyway.

7 ba would be about right.

It would need 7BA stock so 0.172" or 4.36mm AF

EKP have 6ba x 3/4" SS bolts advertised in their catalogue but not on their website, maybe I should get some of those and get the rotary table out and reduce the heads in the mill hopefully.

If it is a wrong thread perhaps something left hand used in obscure Eastern European machine tools for a short period only in the 1920s??
