Subscription gifts

Hi There

I have finally got permission to try out a subscription gift worldwide.

Many readers, especially from Australia, have said they would be willing to pay the postage for a free gift. (The gift itself would remain free of charge.)

We will be running a trial in Model Engineer 4445 and Model Engineers' Workshop 198.

The subscription price will increase slightly to cover the cost of post and packing.

I have weighed a couple of gifts and passed the details for the office to work out the increase.

To allow for overseas readers getting later delivery, the offer period will be extended by one month.

The first gift will be the Digital Angle gauge. This is a very useful item in the home workshop.

I use one for setting the tool rest on my offhand grinder.

I have just renewed my subscription on line via e-mail reminder; does the present 'free gift' offer of digital vernier calipers also apply to my renewal or or is it only for new subscribers?

PS, has the latest 'gift offer' changed from digi calipers to the digi angle gauge as shown? this would be of better benefit to myself.

As with DMB's comment, I like the toolrest too & would like to know where you got it from.

Are the gifts supposed to be available to digital edition subscriptions as well?

If its like the UK subscribers gifts …

It is NEW subscriptions only (Not renewals)  and NO Digital subscribers don't get any gifts.

Are there any model engineering magazines published in the NZ or Oz – and do they offer us Northern-hemisphere types free gifts?

There seems to be a lot of Antipodean antipathy, but I have to wonder if they treat us any fairer!
