The Subscriber’s Only designation on the Springbok and Boxhill PDF’s really is an insult to all the readers who buy every issue of Model Engineer and the specials, and in a lot of cases have been doing for decades.

Personally, I will probably never build either loco, but that’s not the point.

I would like to bring everyone up to speed about ‘subscriber only’ content and our ongoing subscriber policy .

You may have noticed that we are slowly introducing subscriber only content onto this site with some articles, being locked off and only available to ME or MEW subscribers. This includes aproximatly 3 years of back issues of whichever magazines (or both) you subscribe to.

If you’re a subscriber then you’ll need to enter your subscriber number in the ‘my details’ section of your ‘my account’ pod in the top left hand corner of the page. Doing this will make the content available to you.
          A typical subscriber number is
          00********R MEW153
The 8 ******** are where the 8 digit subscriber number can be found.

The bit you have to enter in is this 8 digit bit.

The forum here will always be unaffected of course but our business strategy going forward is to ensure that subscribers receive these extra benefits. We may also be adding a magazine archive, again available only to subscribers, so previous issues of ME and MEW can be viewed. More news on this when it goes live.

Our policy is to give added value to our subscribers who support us whether over many years or starting now. Subscriptions are real value for money. They are many £’s cheaper than buying monthly or fortnightly and you receive the magazine about 5 days before it goes on sale (so you can ‘Cherry Pick’ the Free Adverts).
          Subscribe here, now, today!
