Anyone built the Stuart Turner "Progress" OH1 and care to share their thoughts & tips?

Just about to start mine, am thinking I may make a few of the parts differently to how they're drawn…

      Thanks,

      Joel

I wasn't sure about a few details when i stsrted my Progress, so when i was laid up and bored with my back injury i did some drawings to help.progress assembly drawing.jpg

Let me know if I can help with anything.

This guy did quite a detailed video series about building the engine :-

When the progress engines were introduced in the 1920/30s there were 4 engines, a horizontal and a vertical oscillator, and a horizontal and a vertical slide valve engine. There is a vertical slide valve Progress in my mates little museum. This is as found, I tidied it up a bit and did a bit of repair, a nice wee engine, about 90 year old.

Hi All. I'm extremely new to the world of model engineering myself and recently got a second hand set of castings for this engine and was wondering if anyone had a higher resolution picture of these drawings as they are significantly more detailed that the provided ones however I can't make out all the measurements. Thanks in advance.
