As still a speed record nut at 82 and making my own piston steam record attempt motorcycle.

At Melbourne Raceway this weekend a friends steam rocket motorcycle will be attempting to break his steam jet record.

It runs on plain water and is pre heated by no fancy chemicals.

Already from a standing start over an eighth of a mile its terminal speed did 180mph 200mph is his ambition at that distance.

There are gas turbine dragsters doing runs as well.
