Door seal required.
Does anyone know if there is one left anywhere ?
Homespares burnt down . Espares only have 800 series, too small.
A huge shame to throw a good machine away for the sake of a replaceable item.
1992 model Hoover A3950 Ecologic wash machine 1000series
i'm not saying it will work but sometimes if you turn them upside down you can get a few more years out of them
You could try: **LINK**
Some Hoover machines are badged "Candy".
No connection to the above brands.
Good luck, Bear..
Many thanks GB, Door seal part no 271 Discontinued.
The dirty washing is backing up, sometimes you just have to ' Give in ',
And thanks PR, if I live long enough 75 + 28yrs I will try that trick on the new machine.
Is there a longer serial number anywhere – usually on a sticker on the inside of the door? Usually easier to track down spares if you have one.
Regards,
Rob
Yes, it is A395021201438
It was in the series that offered two tickets to the USA !
Another scam that got Hoover a bad name.
The awful truth is it was never intended to last this long and now they no longer make spare seals for it.
This any good? Only one left, and non-genuine, but it's cheap.
Usual disclaimer, etc.
I take it that you have googled Hoover washing machine spares and trawled the hits. I managed to find an old part for a TV from a firm like them.
Thank you all , I think the GC Amazon one is worth a try, looks right, numbers right so worth a gamble.
UPDATE
Item ordered Friday night, delivered from Sarl Germany this Sunday morning, now fitted and machine running.
What a forum !
Thank you all.
My aquavac from the same debacle in the 1990s is still going strong, good gear still being made in Glasgow at that point
We got our tickets, but they were for someone else so we couldn't use them lol
