Ronan, what are you using the saws for?
Would it be possible to make a simple cutter from a slice of silver steel or piece of gauge plate with say 8 teeth that could easily be mounted on an arbor or what about grinding down a cheap 1 1/4" dia woodruff cutter to the required width?

It is to mill a semi-circular slot into a block of steel about 8mm square. There is a piece that fits through the slot and when the 8mm piece lifts up and down, the cross piece, which is mounted on a pin, is used on the opposite end to lift something else, like a miniature see-saw. This is for a job for a college students project, i am not fully aware of what it does, and i would rather buy a cheap slitting saw than waste more time making yet another piece. Thanks all.
