No details of the weapon, but I wonder if it ended up in either Italy or Switzerland.
Renishaw Hall is well worth a visit if you’re ever in the area and have an interest in formal gardens, or photography of flowers and insects.

I’ve only ever visited the outside, but I guess there might be mention in The Museum.

There is also a rather good car and motorcycle show every year, around the longest day in June.

Given that Rolls-Royce’s HQ is in Derby and David McMurtry invented the touch-trigger probe when he worked for RR and went on to found Renishaw plc, is there any link between Renishaw Hall, Sitwell, and that company?
