I have a SIP BNDSAW, where the switch went wrong. Sip have supplied a new switch, but seem unable to provide any Wiring deatails.

Does anyone have a copy of the Wiring as I dare not connect the new switch, as I may cause more damage.

It does seem extrodinary that SIP cannot privide this !!!..

Any assistance would be a great help

      Thank you

Having been caught out many times before, I now try to remember to take notes and photos as I dismantle.

            Good luck!

Use an old mobile phone and film any complicated work you do so you can review it if required

many thanks for all the replies.

On the Machine there is a label stating :- SIP No. 01444

                  Does that help.

I agree I was just NOt careful enough when I took the old swich off.

I will have a look at the Axminster site for posible help.

I live just ouside Bristol, but do not know anyone who wight be able to assist me

In case it helps anyone to help him, it appears that the 14" SIP bandsaw with the above number is a WOOD cutting bandsaw.

Edit: it looks to be the same as the JET 14SFX model, for which there is a manual with wiring diagram here:

Good morning to everyone. I hope the following may enable someone to be able to assist me. Everybody has been, as always so helpful.

                        • 4 spade terminals poking out of hole where the switch is to go and a switch with 4 terminals…
                        • it looks like it is simply a matter of pushing the spades onto the terminals, BUT
                        • the live feed is fed off into the heart of the machine and then returns to the switch, so when the switch is OFF, something within the machine is live???

                        In pictures:

                        • the DKLD DZ-6-2 [240v] switch has connections 3,4, 7 and 8 as follows:

I have tried to send suitable photos, but the sie tells me all are much too long !!

                          Thanks

                            Malcolm,

Shorten them? If not directly on your photo storage, you can likely load them to an email, which will almost certainly offer options on file size. Once done, copy and paste to your album.
