I've just tried silverflow 55 – it's different to easyflo! It takes more heat to remelt it. If it has only just melted you get more of a fillet, but this is hrd to control.

I used it to do this little tank for the shunter (about 1 1/8" high, from 0.7mm brass. First time I've tried something like this – it left several joint lines visible as when I attached the base a the solder in the curved joints seemed to run out. A bit of hi-build primer should sort it out though.

          Hi Neil,

You could caulk the joints with soft solder as a filler. Takes well to silver solder as if has an affinity for silver, just don't let it contaminate your work area if you intend to make silver jewellery teeth 2

I've done so more experimenting – the extended melting range really notices – it flows like water when it is hot enough, but not before.

Also noticed how puny my blowtorch is compared to even the smallest nozzle on my propane torach – there's no hot 'cone' with the blowtorch – it looks like the legendary paraffin blowlamp bushy flame, but isn't very hot.
