Very similar to my WM16, although I kept the gears rather than switch to belts and the motor is mounted on a much simpler angle bracket and plate configuration! TEC motors if i'm not mistaken. I call mine the frankenwarco.

belt drive -1.jpgThese pictures are of a Clarke CMD10 that I converted to belt drive. I started with the standard motor but then decided that the motor would be better if it counterbalanced the head weight if it was at the rear of the column.

In stages I changed a few other things, moved the Z feedscrew nearer the dovetail, fitted a ex computer tape motor, (later a1Kw servomotor), polyvee belt, converted spindle to a proper quill. It not in use at the minute because I have another mill with longer table travel but l miss its belt drive quietness and smoothness.
