Sharp MK II Milling Machine -Town Bent Engineering

I been offered a Sharp MK II Milling Machine made byTown Bent Engineering, the owner has no idea of its value (it was his late fathers machine) and I would like to make a fair offer. Is anyone familiar with the mill and have any idea of its value. I found some information on Tony Griffiths site.

Hi Jim,

I bought one some years ago but have little idea as to what mine might be worth now.

Dont know what MkII might mean as to level of spec. but power drive to table was an optional extra, which I have. Wouldnt give a thank oyu for any mill without. I have done lots of useful work on mine but you have to be careful in choice of vice etc as not too much clearance under tool with Clarkson chuck. I could be wrong but I think perhaps £800/900??

Jim, If it’s any help I was bid  £750 a Sharp MkII with a selection of cutters and collets  on ebay last year. Unfortunately I was outbid by two other people. From what I have read about them they look to be a very versatile machine.
