Seig SX2P mill

Hi

Just trying to set up my new SX2P mill. Instructions say insert pin in column and turn wrench counter clockwise . Tried this but it seems to be tightening it up. There seems to be a grub screw on the actual collar, wondered if I had to remove this first. Anyone got one of these.

Hole is at the side of the head or bottom of the spindle, watch from 1.57 or 2.40 (more likely) To release turn the other way

My mill has the hole on the spindle, not very easy to get a grip on . Tried turning the nut on the top anti clockwise , goes about 1/8 th of a turn then locks solid. How much force should this take to release it , afraid of breaking something.

OK, you’ve managed it. I was going to suggest a C spanner of suitable dimensions would be good for a secure grip
