      Does anyone know if the bed of a Seig C1 is the same as a C2 or C3

        Not the same, the C1 is a dovetail profile the C2 & 3 are prizmatic

            No doubt, at the expense of losing a short distance at each end of the bed, brackets could be made up to carry the DRO scale, clear of the Saddle.

            A similar bracket could be used as a Saddle stop.

            The C1 has the advantage over the C2 and C3 of having T slots in the Cross Slide, but obviously is a smaller machine. Various owners have made a new Cross Slide for their C2 or C3, incorporating T slots.
