Acetal machines nice, available on line or Smiths metals keep this stuff.

It will probably cost more for the material than to buy a holder of fleebay, unless its a special one….

PVC will probably be easier to find small bits of in grey but not as nice to machine

That's a big sat nav! Will you be able to see out of the windscreen? wink 2

After much thought I used 3 lumps of blu tac to use a 7" tablet as a sat nav. Worked very well, and got me through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Rarely need one in UK.

The plastic lever for the sucker broke on mine so I milled a bit of aluminium to do the same job, much stronger.

I use it around 5 days a week.

                          Lasted 5+ years so far

edit: You'll probbly be better off finding a cheap one on ebay and upgrading it

One of our vans has a standard sized phone holder so I 3D printed a blank with stalk and ball then fitted a clamp for a bigger phone

Good point. If it’s mounted in a way that it obscures the road it’s worth a nick if the plod stop you. cheeky

They are good and they give you free sweeties for large orders. Probably not the age group for finding haribo a novelty.
